                                                                             You Are Here Summer Reading Club

June 20-August 22

Spend your summer reading great titles and participating in programs at BFL. The You Are Here program focuses on all that is available at your library as well as the importance of making connections to the world around us. Sign up for our reading club and earn raffle chances to win awesome prizes including gift cards, author signed book copies, event tickets and other surprises! You WILL NOT want to miss this opportunity! I also hope you will join us for teen programs. You can earn extra raffle chances by attending programs!

School’s Out Wii Dance Party

Gyotaku Fish Printing

Project Duct Tape

How creative are you? Grab your friends and head to BFL for this fun challenge where you will be asked to produce different fashion accessories using only Duck tape!

Pack Your Bags Luggage Tags

Before you leave town on your summer adventure be sure to join us as we make stylish luggage tags using two distinct techniques.

Teen Movie Night

Join us for a showing of I Am Number Four (Rated PG-13). Based on the popular teen book, this suspenseful flick is perfect for a summer night! Snacks will be served.

Bagels and Books Discussion Group

Saturday, August 6 at 11am

Join Miss Jamie to discuss Susan Beth Pfeffer’s riveting book, Life as we Knew It. Fans of the Hunger Games, will love this fast-paced dystrophic novel. The library has purchased 10 free copies of this title available for pick up beginning Monday, June 20.

Silent Library

Monday August 15 at 7pm

You’ve seen the show on MTV, now come to BFL and find out how silent you can be! Teams will compete in various ridiculous challenges while keeping completely silent! Prizes awarded and refreshments will be served.

Henna Party

        Monday, August 22 at 7pm

               Close out the You Are Here summer reading club by joining us to learn about  

                traditional mehndi designs and practice your own technique.
